It's been quite awhile since I have posted any thing to the blog. However, that does not mean things have not been going on. Obviously, I have also been caught up in the global b*lls**t that has ensnared all of us. Political crap, financial garbage, energy screw YOU, the whole nine yards. That has monopolized a good deal of everyone's time, including mine.

On the brighter side though, it gives me great pleasure to announce that I have just finished editing the screenplay for my book, "Dragon, Book Of Shang". My partner and west coast counter part, Dan D, has done a magnificent job putting the screenplay together. Matter of fact, he did such a great job that some studio should be all over this before the holidays. Unless of course they are having major financial probs like all of us. Once this hits the silver screen, it will have YOU begging for the second and third books and movies. YOU can bank that!

Now that the screenplay is a wrap pretty much, I can get on with book 2. I have been making notes and researching and have at least the first 4-5 chapters laid out already. During the week, a number of details came out about upcoming movies, tv etc. The thing that keeps going through my head every time I see the list of coming attractions is, "DOES ANYONE IN HOLLYWOOD HAVE AN ORIGINAL IDEA"? I mean, give me a f*%^#ing break! It's either remakes, rehashes or various takes on the same old crap.

The first full quarter just ended today and I should have a quarterly statement in August sometime. Volcano Sleeps Ten Thousand Years, Awakes With A Bang

Eruption Leaves Chilean Town Deserted

SANTIAGO, Chile (May 3) - The Chaiten volcano spewed light ash on a nearly deserted village Saturday, two days after its first eruption in thousands of years.

No more than 45 of Chaiten's 4,500 residents remained in what looked like a ghost town, its streets, houses, cars and trees draped with a thick layer of light-colored ash, Interior Minister Edmundo Perez said.

Those who decided to stay after Thursday's eruption could be seen wearing face masks outdoors in Chaiten, 750 miles south of the capital, Santiago. Street lights were illuminated under darkened skies.

Just six miles away, the volcano belched fat smoke plumes that at times rose as high as 12 miles into the air, the government's Emergency Bureau said.

Winds carried the ash to other towns in the region and across the Andes mountains to Argentina, where two airlines suspended flights due to poor visibility.

The Chaiten volcano has "probably been dormant for about 9,000 or 10,000 years but that's not unusual," said Charles Stern, a professor of volcanology at the University of Colorado who specializes in Andes volcanoes.

Authorities evacuated most of Chaiten's residents to schools and churches in the nearby cities of Puerto Montt and Castro.

"It is very difficult to predict when the people will be able to return," Perez said. "This situation can last for days, or weeks - or longer."

Some residents were pessimistic.

"This could be the end of our town," community leader Leonardo Maureira told Radio Cooperativa of Santiago. "We have worked an entire life here and now all we could do was to put a few things in a bag and depart, leaving everything behind."

Others decided to stay.

"We have to protect our investment," said Nelson Alderete, a small shopkeeper, as he watched his wife and small daughter board a boat to Puerto Montt. "But if things get really ugly, I will leave."

Chaiten Mayor Jose Fritis said the town will not die.

"This has been a historic catastrophe for us, but we will rebuild from the ashes," he said.

I sympathize with these people totally, however, Dont know about that "rebuilding from the ashes" philosophy. This could be the first of many eruptions after being dormant for so long, or, it could go back to sleep for another 10,000 years or so.

As the full moon reflected off the calm bayou waters, it's light silhouetted the small house boat that was docked and moored at the end of a small narrow pier a matter of yards from the shoreline.

Suddenly, the house boat was jolted viciously as if it had been hit broad side by a giant battering ram. It listed to the shore side before settling back flat on the water.

"Goddammit, what the hell was that" said the old man as he picked himself up from the boats floor. Having been thrown to the ground from his bunk by the sudden impact on his house boat, he was a little annoyed and perplexed as to what was going on.

Well, here we are, just short of a month since "Dragon, Book Of Shang" was published and went live. Sales have been clipping right along. Movie Studios, Producers, & Writers: Read This!

Here we go again! When will these people ever learn? When will they get their heads out of their as--s?

While watching Access Hollywood or Entertainment Tonight or one of those gossip celebrity supposed entertainment shows, guess what I witnessed? A segment that featured David Hasselhoff and his new "hottie" or whatever. BUT, the kicker was, the host of the show mentioned David's new upcoming movie, "Anaconda 3"!

Now, let me say this, "I actually am a fan of the Anaconda movies". However, there have been two of them already. The second one was not that great. Hollywood now wants to rehash some more so-so material. DO ANY OF YOU "NON-CREATIVE" PEOPLE HAVE AN ORIGINAL IDEA? Oh, YOU don't? WELL, I DO!

I just published my first book which happens to be in the same genre or vain as Ananconda. The difference happens to be that DRAGON, BOOK OF SHANG IS ORIGINAL! It isn't even a rehash of other dragon stories or movies. Why doesn't Hollywood make a movie, or, at least look into the feasibility of doing one based on my book? My original story is like nothing else out there. And, it is a trilogy! C'mon Hollywood, "quit jerking the public off with your lack of creativity and start pushing the envelope again". "Hey, Shang & Iyce could be your salvation, or, your worse nightmare".

A quick note on the book content. This book is NOT for young kids. If it were a movie, it would probably, at best, be a PG-13. More than likely, an R. This is based on profanity, real graphic dragon inflicted violence, some pertinent "adult romantic sexuality". All of these things are integral to the story. Nothing is "just gratuitous".

Book Update!

Well, I just reviewed and approved the front and back covers of "Dragon, Book Of Shang". On my end, everything is now submitted. The book heads to the printer and should be "live" within the next 3 weeks.

"NEW" Sneak Peek "Dragon, Book Of Shang"

Here is the latest on the book! Today, January 25, 2008, I did my design call with my production team for the book. We set the front and back covers and the inside of the book. The font size and type were set, as well as each chapter and page layout. It will take the team about two to three weeks(or less)to put it all together. They will then send me the galleys for my okay. Once I okay everything and sign off on a pricing agreement, the book goes to print. The "live"(for sale)book should be ready around the end of February. Give or take a couple of days. Can't wait!

In the mean time, here is a "NEW" teaser from the book. Enjoy!

After a short period of time, Shang emerged from the lava and hovered over the pool. At that very instant, the 767 airliner was making it's final descent. As it approached the area where Shang was, one of the passengers looking out the starboard side window shouted, "holy shit, what is that?" At the same time, the pilot reversed the engines for final approach. The sound of the engines startled Shang. As he looked in the direction of the sound, he saw the large flying object. Without a thought, Shang launched a searing hot fireball at the plane. Within seconds, the fireball hit the tail section of the plane. Completely incinerating it. The impact of the fireball knocked the plane off it's flight path. Without the tail and rudder sections, the plane went into a steep dive. There was nothing the pilot could do. As the ground came up faster and faster, it was evident a major disaster was about to unfold.

Dragon, Book Of Shang Book Update

Here is the latest on what is going on with the book. On January 25, 2008, or possibly sooner, I will do a design team meeting/conference call with my design team. We will basically, put the book together as to how it will appear. The covers, front and back, will be set. The inside layout for pages and complete interior will be set up.

Roughly two weeks later, I will get the galleys to either approve or make changes to. Once I approve everything and send it back, the book should be "live" within approximately two weeks from that date.

As it stands right now, if everything stays on track, "Dragon, Book Of Shang" should be available around February 25, 2008. Can't wait!

I will post a "new" sneak peek later on this month(January '08).
